Art on Site Exhibition New Shetland MuseumSaturday, June 30, 2007 The recent completion of Shetland’s new Museum and Archives marked the end of ‘Art on Site’, a stunning photographic documentation of the construction of the building and surrounding Hays Dock area. PhatSheep Photography was chosen from over 200 local and national applicants to take part in ‘Art on Site’, a public art project funded by Shetland Amenity Trust to document the construction of Hays Dock (Lerwick, Shetland) in a creative way. For this project photographs of the entire construction process of this dynamic new building were taken right up to and immediately after it opened to the public. This contemporary visual archive of the build process spread over 22 separate visits took over 2 1/2 years to complete.
